Neck Sugery

Well not alot of music went for me after Sept. 2008. I had to have neck surgery. Had 3 rupured disk and had to have surgery. I'm better just takes a while to heal. Hopefully lots of good things to happen in 2009.

The Merle Haggard Show-West Virginia State Fair

Merle Haggard played the West Virginia State Fair in Lewisburg, WV 8/8/08. First pict is that of sound check that we got there for which I have never seen. Merle played about 65 min. Merle looked happy and healthy as he has his son Ben play lead guitar for his band and his wife Teresa singing background. Great show.

Merle Haggard at the West Virginia State Fair

Last time Merle played at the West Virginia State Fair he played a 2 hour late set, unheard of at a Haggard show, but he seemed to really enjoy the crowd. Merle and the Strangers will play one show a 8 pm in Lewisburg Friday August 8th.

The Thrill Ain't Gone-BB's Back In Town

BB King is coming to Charlottesville, VA at the Pavilion Tuesday Night. BB don't stand up much any more but that still don't mean the man can't rock. Check him out. Here are some picts from a show in Lynchburg, VA a couple years ago where the man signed a concert poster for me.

Just up the road Sat. Aug 2nd is Country Music Legend Lorretta Lynn at the Warren County Fair, 7 pm. She doesn't sing as much as she use to in concert, but she still is just as good as she lets her band and her daughters take the stage more.
